Let each user choose a profile picture from the media library. It replaces their Gravatar everywhere on the site, and they can switch back in one click.

About Custom User Avatar

Overview

WordPress only shows Gravatar images, so team pages and author boxes show grey silhouettes unless each person signs up to a separate service.

Setup

  1. Go to WP Extended in your WordPress admin and find Custom User Avatar under Admin Tools.
  2. Switch Custom User Avatar on.
  3. There is nothing to configure. The module works as soon as it is on.

Questions and troubleshooting

Is Custom User Avatar free?

Yes. It is included in the free plugin.

It isn’t working as expected

Check the module is switched on and its settings are saved. If another plugin does the same job, deactivate one of them. Then clear any page cache and test again. Still stuck? Pro customers can contact support; free users can post on the WordPress.org forum.
