Installation

The free plugin takes about two minutes to set up. Pro adds an upload and a licence key.

Install the free plugin

Install WP Extended from the WordPress plugin directory.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  3. Search for “WP Extended”.
  4. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  5. Open WP Extended in the admin menu to see your modules.

Install WP Extended Pro

After buying Pro, download the plugin from your account and install it alongside the free version.

  1. Sign in to your account and download the WP Extended Pro zip from Downloads.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the zip file, click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
  4. Both WP Extended and WP Extended Pro should now be active.

Activate your licence key

A valid licence key is needed for Pro modules and updates.

  1. In your WP Extended account, open Licence Keys and copy your key.
  2. In WordPress, go to WP Extended → Licence.
  3. Paste the key and click Activate Licence.
  4. A confirmation appears once the key is validated.

Switch on modules

Every module is off until you switch it on. Enable only what the site needs.

  1. Go to WP Extended in your WordPress admin.
  2. Browse by category or search for a module.
  3. Switch a module on. Its settings appear in the WP Extended screen.

Manage WP Extended with WP-CLI

Every module and setting can be managed from the command line under wp wpextended. Export a site’s setup and import it on the next one, with a dry run first.

wp wpextended module list
wp wpextended module enable smtp-email
wp wpextended setting set smtp-email from_email "[email protected]"
wp wpextended export --file=./wpextended.json
wp wpextended import ./wpextended.json --dry-run
wp wpextended status
